The Trident Hilton Chennai is a low rise, red and white hotel set in five acres of tropical gardens and located three kilometres from Chennai Airport in South India. This two floor property features 167 contemporary air conditioned guestrooms decorated in rich earthy tones with sliding wooden blinds, ethnic patterned fabrics, light walls and wooden furnishings. All include satellite television with pay movies, wireless Internet connections, minibars, tea/coffee making facilities, safes and complimentary newspapers. Bathrooms are equipped with telephones, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries. Guests can spend lazy days sunbathing by the palm flanked outdoor swimming pool and enjoy strolling through the tropical landscaped gardens. Health conscious guests will appreciate the onsite gymnasium, which offers a range of modern fitness equipment. As well as a restaurant specialising in South Indian and Moplah dishes, the hotel has a bar and a 24 hour coffee shop, and room service is available around the clock. Business travellers can stay connected via wireless Internet access, and a range of office support and secretarial services are available in the business centre. The banquet hall and two meeting rooms can be used for social functions, seminars and conferences of up to 375 people. Other amenities include a gift shop, a concierge desk, currency exchange and safety deposit boxes. Guests arriving by car will find complimentary parking facilities on site. Nearby attractions include the Birla Planetarium, five kilometres away, and the Snake Park, seven kilometres away. The spectacular temple of Kapaleshwar is said to be the oldest and largest in Chennai, and can be found 15 kilometres from the hotel. Chennai/Madras Airport is three kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of ten minutes.

| Stayed on business. Fine hotel but: Rooms are damp smelling as you cant open windows. Pool area in lovely, but closes at 7pm so if your on business and having to travel into the city thru the Chennai traffic, you stand no chance of ever seeing it! Sports room is just a spare room with 2 running machines and a few wights. Bar closes at 11pm. Nothing around the area. Good: Staff are Very friendly Restaurant is out of this world. Lovely building and usual Indian hospitality. Overall good, but a long way from the city and your kind of stuck there, and in the evenings you can get bored quickly. |
| Trident is not your Economy budget hotel, but it is one of the best value for money Business class hotels with excellence in all the parameters required for a hotel stay. |

| The Trident is one of the older hotels in Chennai. I stayed for four days and generally found it fully satisfactory, although compared o the Radisson next door it falls slightly short. The rooms are clean and bright and generally it is everything you would expect from a 4-5 star hotel. The bar is especially fun. Overall a solid hotel. |
| When you think abour "Trident Hilton" you get an image of a lavish lobby, great, big and wonderfully done up rooms etc....Trident Hilton Chennai is a nice hotel but it lacks the charm and facilities of a Five Star hotel in India ... The rooms are comparitively small, when you enter the room there is a peculiar "damp" smell.. in my 1 week stay the room never felt fresh when I came back in the evening. The room has a wooden floor but I found it was not maintained. The hotel has just one normal restaurant serving all kinds of cuisines. This where the buffet breakfast is served in the morning.. the breakfast is good and remember to includ the same in your room tariff. The bar is better . I did not use the pool but it seemed the best place in the hotel although its a bit small. The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the Airport ..that is why its popular amongst the airlines staff... Another positive is its proximity to the Guidy Industrial area ..just 10mins drive ...also the staff was very helpful .. they agreed for a late check out till aroung 4 in the evening. In total a nice hotel but not Great! |
| We stayed for 4 nights, and booked the hotel not because of recommendation, but the name "Hilton". Over all very disappointed, when we arrived, the staffs in the reception did the job officially, but no explanation about the hotel facilities or no greetings or where the room is. Relatively speaking all other departments is much better than the reception, but over all facilities plus the services that we received and the value for money is not very impressive. If you just want a clean room to stay, this place will do. There are few exception though, in the swimming pool there was a person called "Bala" who was very friendly, and helpful. |
| I have stayed in Trident Hilton, Chennai many times and it has always been a very pleasant experience. In fact I always patronize Trident properties where ever available but must put on record the Chennai is one of the best. Located very close to the airport, away from congested downtown, makes it convenient for business travellers |
| The Hotel is nice however the location is poor. Its too far from the city and all exciting places, shopping areas and beaches! If you are on a business trip or on a transit its a great hotel as the location is near the airport, like 10 minutes! Rooms were nice and clean, swimming pool was nice as well. Only the Buffet was the same like evereyday! and only one restaurant! Staff was friendly! |
| No one chooses to stay in an airport hotel, except for the obvious reason - but if you are coming to, or leaving, Chennai by air, this one is excellent. There is a nice garden and pool, the hotel is surprisingly quiet, the food is good, and there is wireless internet access. Service is courteous and kind - when I asked where I could go to get a lock for my suitcase, one of the staff popped out to get one. Unlike many hotels in India where there are better rates when you arrive, in this one, the best rates are in advance on the internet. |

| The Trident Hilton is 3 kilometers from the airport with free car service. Make sure to email the hotel your flight information and they will make arrangements for a car to meet you. I was greeted by staff members by name throughout my stay - a very nice touch. Hotel lobby is very soothing, spacious and modern. Clean lines with lots of white marble... has a Frank Lloyd Wright feel to it. Front desk completed my check in within five minutes, making sure that my Hilton HHonors Diamond benefits were provided. Room seemed freshly renovated, with blonde Pergo flooring and newer furniture. Bathroom was older style, but well maintained and with a good supply of large towels. Bed was very comfortable, offering soft sheets and lots of pillows. TV offered several channels (including: CNN, HBO, BBC et al). Most importantly, air conditioning and hot water supply is in perfect working order. Breakfast buffet had a lot to offer, with both western and Indian items available. Nice selection of freshly baked breads and truly fresh orange juice made a nice start to a first day in India. Wait staff were very friendly and professional. Chef even made an appearance to see if I was satisfied with my meal and to see if I had any questions or special needs - another nice touch. This is an ultra pleasant and peaceful hotel. A fine place to recover from a marathon flight. Staff goes beyond the call of duty to make you feel comfortable. One of the better airport hotels in the world.. |
| One of our best overall experiences in three weeks in India. The hotel has a good feel, especially in the public areas. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful, and in immaculate Indian style uniforms. Breakfasts were very good but the executive club was overstretched the night we used it. |
| I am a Hilton HHonors member, so used points for my stay, but booking in advance the rates are decently priced. Note that this is convenient to the airport and NOT to Chennai restaurants, shopping, etc. Chennai is a very crowded city with lots of traffic and congestion, so just be sure you stay closer within the city if you want to go out a lot. Food and service at the Hilton are wonderful as well. This hotel is great if you are traveling with kids, it is literally a 5-10 min. drive from the airport. It is about 35-45 minutes to the railway station, however (Due to the traffic). |
| The hotel is conveniently located a mere 5 minute ride from the airport, though we did not hear any noise from the planes in our room. The lobby is very elegant, as well as the restaurant where we enjoyed wonderful food and excellent service during our 3 nights stay. The garden and pool are just wonderful and a part of paradise in Chennai. The rooms are okay, though they seem to have a problem with the moisture inside the room. Everything smells a bit damp and the clothes and the blanketts are damp as well. Too bad its not possible to open the windows a bit, as End of March it was not humid at all outside. We did not face this problem in any other hotels in Southern India. I hope the hotel will work on this problem with a new a/c maybe? Apart from that a really great hotel which I would recommend to any friends and I would stay here again on my next stay. |

Room was large and well maintained with basic facilities, there was a tea/coffee maker in the room. I will highly suggest this property to every one. |
